Favorite Songs of the Month (August'16)

So, it's Saturday but I have no where to go.
I have always been looking for something to kill the time such as blogging and watching, etc for since last 2 weeks. But for this week especially I feel really bored and boring at the same time.

I'm writing this post out of boredom, hoping I can share a little bit of the things that I have. Maybe we'll start with my favorite song of the month. I have been listening to some songs that I think have good melodies. So I'll list it down below.


❤ Pelangi by Hivi!
I knew this song through my bestfriend and been loving Hivi's songs since their "Siapkah Kau Tuk Jatuh Cinta Lagi?". The previous songs are kinda flirty and cheerful, which the last song doesn't bear. I feel like Pelangi could be a soundtrack of some romantic Disney-ish movie HAHA. The chorus was especially good since their vocalist have such a soft and unique head voice (and so did the ex-vocalist).

The song itself have a very sad meaning (well at least for me). But my main point for this song is the melody and the vocalist's voice.


❤ I hate u, I love u by Gnash ft. Olivia O'Brien
Don't tell me you don't like gnash part, because I do love it a lot! The chorus is great and Gnash parts just make it complete. He put a lot of emotion in his singing/rapping part. And Olivia's voice is completely good for the song! One more sad song that I love (love the melody).


❤ Never Be Like You by Flume ft. Kai
MANNNNN, this song has the best hook at the moment in my opinion. I love this lyric:

I'm only human can't you see
I made, I made a mistake
Please just look me in my face
Tell me everything's okay
Cause I got it
He'll never be like you


First knew this song from a youtube video of either Jovi Adhiguna or Sarah Ayu (not sure which one, forget HAHA). And been in love with it since. Lyric was on point for some reason. And whatever, I just love this song!


❤ Dia by Anji
Another song that I knew through my friend (shoutout for Yonatan Kurniawan!! hahaha). Simple lyric, nice melody and Anji's voice just kills it all (even though he looks like Freddie Krueger in the music video HAHAH sorry Anji, everybody thinks so).




So yeah, I'll end this random post with a small part of Anji's song.
